There are not words to describe how much I love Freddie Mercury’s voice. I am in perpetual awe of it. As such, it’s almost a little embarrassing to even attempt to cover a Queen song that was originally sung by the legend himself. But, I love this song and enjoy singing it, and isn’t that what music is about, after all? So, disclaimer: Don’t expect this to sound anything like the original. It is simply my humble take on a song that I have loved for almost fifteen years.

This is the first John Mayer song I ever heard. I quickly fell in love with it, and true to my obsessive nature, listened to it over and over on my iPod (blue nano, in case you were wondering). For a long time it was the only John Mayer song I listened to. I think I assumed that his other songs couldn’t possibly match up, and that I’d just be disappointed. Well, you know what they say about assumption. 😉 In any case, this song will always hold a special place in my heart. I think it’s totally beautiful.

I’ve officially passed the halfway mark, and I feel pretty excited to have made it this far! I’ll admit, there are days when I’m tired and really don’t feel like recording another video, but once I start playing and singing that all goes away and I’m just happy and thankful for platforms like Youtube that enable me to communicate with people all over the world through music. I look forward to recording the next fourteen videos!
